News from the Magickal Women Conference

It happened!

MWC

The inaugural Magickal Women Conference was held on a bright sunny day in London and gathered together forty world-class speakers and workshop presenters along with over two hundred attendees. Our deepest gratitude goes out to everyone who helped make the conference a huge success: speakers, vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and audience. We could not have done it without you!

To wrap up the 2019 conference, we’ve put a photo gallery online and have collected a list of blogs, audio, and video from and about the day which we’ll add to as they come in. You can now also purchase some of the goodies we brought home with us: bags, mugs, and (thanks to a very generous printer) our gorgeous event programme designed by Jenn Zahrt of Revelore Press! We won’t be doing anything like that again so get one while you can.

Please don’t forget there will also be a post-conference publication, details to be announced! We promise it will be amazing.

We know many of you have questions about our 2020 plans, so we’ve created a FAQ with all the information we have at the moment.

Now, without further ado, here is what we’ve collected from our speakers:

Laura Tempest Zakroff: An American Witch in London

Emma Kathryn: Rebel Women & Rebel Magic and her write-up of the day.

Baya the Storyteller: Bearskin Part 1, Part 2

Alkistis Dimech: Flower on fire (Dance. Sex. Heresy.) and her write-up of the day.

Deborah M. Castellano: Twenty Years with the Amethyst Circle of Sisters

Chaweon Koo: Korea as Case Study Institutionalized Glamour Magic

Charlotte Rodgers: The Dancing Serpents of Magick & Art

We hope to see some of you again in 2020, as well as new faces and fresh ideas, all in celebration of magic(k)al women – those who came before us, those who are with us, and all the generations yet to come.

Yours with gratitude,

Sue Terry & Erzebet Barthold
